We’ve done a lot, but here are some of our favorites

Butcher’s Crossing

BUTCHER’S CROSSING landed on Jeri’s desk Winter of 2020 from director Gabe Polsky’s team. He had been trying to make the film for eight years. By Fall 2021 Gabe and his producing partners Phiphen Pictures and distributor Altitude Film Entertainment were filming with Nicolas Cage on the Blackfeet Reservation in Northwest Montana along with a herd of 500 buffalo and the full support of the tribe due to Jeri’s vision and the work of MPS collaborators.

Jeri was instrumental in all aspects of producing including the initial breakdown and build of the seven million dollar budget, setting up multiple scouts, facilitating the introduction to the Blackfeet + buffalo, locking in local crew + department heads, casting every on-camera role beyond the stars and working with bond company Film Finances.

The full production was on location in a very remote area with 21 shoot days. From camera to GE support, all vendors were Montana local as well as 90% of the crew including an all Blackfeet stunt + wrangling team.

We Burn Like This

WE BURN LIKE THIS was a top to bottom production on a micro-budget of $90k shooting in Billings and Butte, Montana.

This film is the first of what would become Montana Production Services. With a small crew and first-time director this film is proof that with the right people and mindset critical and financial success can be achieved.

The film was nominated for a Grand Jury Prize at Deauville and has won many other awards among the 30+ film festivals it has screened at and is available on all streaming platforms.

The fim was financed on soft money raises including a Montana Film Office Grant and donations which has resulted in an profitable balance sheet a year after it’s first festival premiere.

TED K

TED K speaks to a very special formula in the way Montana Production Services works and achieves success.

Through deep Montana connections and embracing the small town community we are able to source and gain support from locals that resulted in larger than life (and budget!) production elements as seen in TED K such as the filming of a large-scale logging operation, vintage helicopter and snowmobile procurement, chopping down of telephone poles and access to locations and vehicles that were a part of Ted’s life when he lived in Lincoln, Montana.

We were also able to gain access to Ted Kaczynski’s former property and rebuild his infamous 10x12 cabin.

Jeri + MPS provided crew, location scouting + management, permitting + construction support and vendors from catering to animals such as bobcats and mountain lions.

The shoot took place over an entire year as director Tony Stone wanted to film in every season. We made it happen on their one million dollar production budget.

God’s Country

GOD’S COUNTRY is a great example of pre-production services that include location scouting and lining up local crew, vendors and community relationships.

Jeri worked on the on the short film WINTER LIGHT that was used to generate funds and attach cast for the feature GOD’S COUNTRY.

Through meetings with the production team at Cold Iron Pictures, Jeri led them to amazing local Montana department heads and frequent MPS co-creators such as costume designer Kate Lindsay, casting director Kate Britton and Co-Producer Colin Scott that brought authenticity and a reality to the film.
